Julie has presented three times for the International School Counselor Association (ISCA). Her sessions: Little Listeners, Big Lessons on storytelling for SEL, Team Talks on high-impact Tier 2 interventions, and Lights On! on navigating relational aggression, equip counselors with tools to support student growth.
Morning Messages, a video series created during my time as a school counselor, laid the foundation for IMPACT Kids Coach. I'm honored that Oxford University Press recognized this work for its positive impact on children's emotional learning. My video is referenced in their publication: OXFORD INTERNATIONAL CURRICULUM PRIMARY SUSTAINABILITY: STUDENT PROJECT BOOK 5 (ISBN: 9781382047586), with full source acknowledgement. (How fun is that!?)
These engaging lessons are research-based, standards-aligned, and kid-tested earning approval from both teachers and parents alike. Designed for students in 3rd to 5th grade, the Blue Series empowers kids to understand themselves better and develop essential social and emotional skills. Through fun and relatable lessons, students will explore who they are, how to navigate their emotions, and how to make their best IMPACT in the world by connecting with others and working together.
Understanding others starts with learning how to connect with them on a deeper level. The Yellow Series helps kids develop key social skills by exploring topics like empathy, perspective-taking, and respect for diversity. Through engaging lessons, kids will discover how to see the world through different viewpoints, build stronger friendships, and practice kindness in everyday interactions.
The Green Series helps kids understand that we’re all connected. When we learn to communicate, cooperate, and support each other, we create stronger friendships, happier communities, and we are all able to make our best IMPACT!
